How it works

Work out your net score on the hole after handicap strokes.
Convert it to points against par.
Add the points across 18 holes. Highest wins.

Scoring

The standard table, against your net score:

Double bogey or worse — zero points
Bogey — one point
Par — two points
Birdie — three points
Eagle — four points
Albatross — five points

Thirty-six points is a net par round, and it is the number everyone measures themselves against.
